Traffic offenders beware: France will test the new Nano monitoring system from Parifex

In the future, traffic offenders will not only be punished for excessive speed. The new monitoring system now measures speed, distance and acceleration simultaneously.
The new nano system uses laser (lidar) to detect vehicles and track their movement at a distance of 100 meters at a time, from multiple vehicles at once. It is conceivable that it will be used as a combined device for speed, distance, driving style, traffic light speed cameras and for overtaking bans.
The laser radar is used as a speed monitoring system that can be set up quickly. Vehicles are detected by laser and a 3D image is generated. In this way, the nano-system can detect different vehicles, track them simultaneously, and thus not only detect speeders, but at the same time detect tailgaters or jostling speeders. Where and how the flash and photo will be taken, and the length of the test phase, is not known.
The laser radar now also detects traffic violations that usually go unnoticed, so the new monitoring system will lead to even more penalties in the future. To what extent the new system will distinguish itself remains to be seen.
